About us

The Israeli Center for Legal Guardianship was established to promote a public and social vision; the organization is appointed by the court to defend the property and rights of people who are unable to care for themselves.

The Center operates throughout the country by means of four district offices in the north, south, center and Jerusalem. It provides services to thousands of vulnerable people who live independently or in various institutions: minors, people with physical and mental disabilities, the mentally frail, elderly invalids and others who have no family or whose relatives cannot or will not represent them or provide proper care.

Managing the client’s financial resources, the Center provides all the client’s needs and an improved quality of life. A separate bank account is set up for each client, and the budget is tailored accordingly.

The Center was established in 1977 at the initiative of the Ministry of Justice’s Administrator General, and it operates under state supervision. Its multi-disciplinary staff works in conjunction with a diverse range of professionals throughout the community, and with institutions and public and non-profit organizations across the country.
